Bon Voyage

This project felt like perfect timing We’ll be doing some traveling coming up this year, and I was feeling inspired to create a card that reflects the fun of getting out and seeing the world.  This card features a hot air balloon, taking off to explore the skies. This was a pretty simple DIY card because it incorporates some basic techniques, but simplicity can also offer beauty without feeling overwhelming.

Materials Used:

Big Kick Machine
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK with Stamps – Banners #2
Olive Cardstock  – Card Base (8.5”x5.5” folded in half)
Light Blue Patterned Cardstock – Exterior Background (5.25”x4”)
White Cardstock  – Interior (3.75”x5”)
Orange Cardstock – Banner (1.5”x3.5”)
Bon Voyage Sentiment Stamp
Embossing Powder – Clear
Archival Pigment Ink – Black
Striped Ribbon 1” wide (5.5”)
Travel Sticker Embellishment (approx. 1” circumference)
Double Sided Mounting Tape
Dimensional Tape
Scissors (if needed)
Tweezers (if needed)
