Meet the Artist
I am an artist and greeting card designer. Making art and paper crafting is one of my favorite forms of self-care.
Like many other creatives, I loved art as a kid. I would spend much of my time painting, drawing, and crafting. Art class was my favorite part of the school day. But, as I got older, I spent less time making art and more time pursuing other topics that (at the time) I felt I needed to help me find a job.
Then in 2008, I found my way back to the creative world when I helped a friend of mine make a scrapbook. I had so much fun with it, that I wanted to get my hands on any other paper crafting projects that I could. I made scrapbooks, greeting cards, gift tags, and much more! After that, I started incorporating watercolor painting, colored pencils, and marker techniques into my crafting projects. As I kept learning, I expanded the type of projects I would create to include fine art pieces.
The more I learned, the more I want to share these techniques and meet others with the same passion. I started One Paper Street to help inspire others to find a creative outlet and promote happiness through art education.
When I’m not crafting, I also enjoy spending time with my amazing friends and family, traveling, and budgeting. Yes, I know the last one may sound kinda boring. But it allows me to enjoy my other favorite things without remorse.
